Today I am showing a cute quick birthday card. I have lot of kids so it is nice to have a lot of kids birthday cards on hand.
I used the retiring Borderlines and Fox & Friends sets. They look so cute together. This is a fairly quick card and those are always nice to make.
Of course, I have used the Borderlines set more now than I have in the year I have had it. This set only has one week left in availability. Don't miss out!
Have A Great Saturday!

I used 4 shapes punched with the Doily Triple Layer Punch to make the lace border around the oval focal piece. Each piece is cut in half. It makes such a nice lace border around the oval and because they are all separate it is easy to make the curves around the oval or a circle.
Click Here to see another sample made with the Doily Triple Layer Punch. This post even includes a video showing you exactly how it works.
This card's layout is based on the Retro Sketch #12.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

I am really on a masculine card kick lately and The Open Sea stamp set is perfect for masculine cards. Isn't the Perfectly Penned "Happy Birthday" just perfect for this set?
In fact, it was seeing the Perfectly Penned set paired with The Open Sea set convinced me to get the Perfectly Penned set. I have since, of course, found so many other sets to use with this set.
I recently made a video for my Creative and Crafty Die Cutting Newsletter showing how to do the background technique. Check out the Creative and Crafty Die Cutting Newsletter by Clicking Here.
Can you believe that there is not an orthodontist in my town? In fact, I have to drive two hours away for my son's appointments. Since I have some great customers on my way, I decided to give them a call and said I would stop by and do a card with them. This is the card. I hope they like it!
Have a great day!

I was inspired by a card that I ran across on Facebook to make a simple one layer card. The one layer is the garden green piece of card stock that I punched once with the Scalloped Edge Border punch and slightly offset the punch and punched again to get the grass look.
The Daffodil Delight background image is done with the Borderlines stamp that is on the retiring list. I think this set has a lot of potential and am glad that I have it and if you want it be sure to order it before May 31st.
I then paired the grass and background with the fun Field Flowers stamp. I have been using this set a lot lately and I suppose I could have ordered it earlier so I could have used it more. The Field Flower set will be carried into the next catalog.
I have been sending out the catalogs to my Online Learning Class members so they have had a chance to see what it coming in June. Would you like to be a member of the Online Learning Class? Click Here. It's an easy and fun club to belong to!

I love everything about the Tickets & Tags Simply Scrappin' Kit. They are designed for paper scrapbooking, but you can easily use them for card making too. In fact, they making cards so quick and easy.
All of the paper and self-adhesive die cuts are from the kit. I did use one stamp set and a couple of embellishments to finish up my card. The Designer Series paper that is exclusive to this kit is absolutely beautiful and you will want to use each piece.
The "Friendly Phrases" stamp set works so well with this set and you could make a variety of cards. I am finding that I am using this set so often! It is a great general purpose set.
I added a couple of the Basic Rhinestones to the cards. The rhinestone and pearl jewels are a great embellishment when you just need just a bit more. I did add a bit of seam binding to one card, but that was it for embellishments and I think the cards look very complete.
Check out the Simply Scrappin' Kits that are available right now because on June 1st these will be gone and new ones will be available. There is a Tickets & Tags digital kit available for My Digital Studio program and/or other photo editing programs.
All of the supplies I used today are available in my online store. Click on any of the images below to find them online.

I know it may feel early, but if you are anything like me those special days just tend to sneak up on you and Father's Day is coming. If you are not in need of a Father's Day card it is easily changed into a birthday card.
I let the retiring Well Worn Designer Series Paper do the work for this card. All I had to do was add a bit of stamping and embellishments to complete this Clean and Simple card.
I think I finished this card in about 10 minutes. It is one of those "Out The Door" cards that come in handy. Don't tell me that I am the only person that makes a card while my husband is waiting the car! I don't think I am. I think I will have to put this layout in my quick cards file.
Don't forget about the retiring product. There is only about a week and a half left of the 2011-2012 catalog and the new one starts.

When I saw this set and paper in the catalog, I knew that it would be so much fun to make Wedding Shower cards using these products. Well, this is the first card I have made with this set and now it is being retired with this catalog.
I am not surprised because Stampin' Up! rarely carries over Designer Series Paper or the single stamps. At least there is a digital version of the paper if I run out of paper.
If you want your own Now You're Cookin' stamp and package of Domestic Goddess Designer Series Paper be sure to order it today or at least before May 31st. The current catalog will be done on May 31st.
Did you notice the shape of the focal piece? I cut it with a new Framelit that will be available June 1st! Be sure to check out all of the products I used below. You can click on any image to see it in my Online Store.

It is time to think about cards for grads and dads. Well I guess that I could have already been doing graduation cards, but I haven't really done many because I of the change in the new catalog release.
I was looking over the retiring stamp list and noticed that the Grunge Rock and Extreme Elements stamps were retiring. I figured that they would make a fun Father's Day card. I know that I will not get rid of these stamps from my collection because they also work well for boy or teen boy cards. I have 4 boys and know that I will be making boy cards for quite some time to come.
I made a quick video showing you how I put this card together. You may have to go to my blog to see the video.

June's Online Learning Class and Card Kit features the new stamp set Betsy's Blossoms, new paper and fun, bright colors. You will not want to miss out on the instruction for these special cards and project. Not only does the kit include printable PDF instructions, but you also receive tips, hints and tricks while watching the videos. I often hear "I never knew that!" when I demonstrate a project.
You will love the cards featured in June! They are so fun, bright and layouts I am sure you will come back to over and over. The Z Fold card may be new to you, but the videos and PDF directions will walk you through making the card step by step.
If you are already signed up, remember to place your online order by June 10th! :)
Click Here for more information about the Monthly Online Learning Class and Card Kit. **
**The card kit for this month will include supplies for 3 copies of each card and 1 copy of the Special Fold Card.
Products I used to make the projects:
Are You as excited as I am over the new catalog? I received my copies yesterday and will begin getting them out to the people that ordered during "Mouse" special and my Online Learning Club members.
Today's card is a sneak peek of a new set called Betsy's blossoms. It is a bold set and the coordinating paper also has a lot of strong print. I can see making cards where the paper does the work. I mean that I will not need a lot of embellishments and extra stuff.
Did you notice the line of embossing along the bottom of the dots? It is a fun technique that can be done with the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder.
I have used a lot of sneak peek items, but I also used the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp that is retiring with the end of this catalog on May 31st.
This card was inspired by the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. I hope you enjoy the clean and simple look of this card.

I am so excited about the End Of The Year Teacher gifts I came up with this year. I put together these journals for the teachers with My Digital Studio and school themed downloads. Didn't they come out so cute? I love how they are personalized.
I was thinking the other day how many notes I had to take as a teacher and how much I love the journal I received while I was on the incentive trip to Disney World. I figured I could make the cutest personalized journal for the teachers this year.
Above I have the pictures of the front and back. Click Here if you want to see a printed journal over on my Facebook Page. Once you are on my Facebook page be sure to "like" me.
I made up one version with My Digital Studio and then copied and imported that one into a new document. I was able to make changes so that each of the journals are similar, but personalized for each teacher. I am off to order them so I get them back in time for the end of school.
Note the stamp brush has the incorrect description right now. Stampin' Up! is working on fixing the description.

I have always loved the Have A Seat stamp set. It is a unique set that you can use to make unique cards. I am so glad that I have the set and if you want it be sure to order it before May 31st because it is retiring.
Did you notice the brayered background? I love this easy technique and the beautiful results you can achieve. Watch the video below to see how easy it is to use this technique.
The ribbon, ink and paper is Midnight Muse, one of the new 2012-2013 In-Colors. It has been fun to play with the new colors and I think you will really enjoy them.
The sentiment is from the Hostess Set called Perfect Words. This set will not be available in the new catalog because all hostess sets retire at the end of each catalog.

If you could see how this card looked in my mind, you would not recognize it! I had not really planned to use all sneak peek stuff, but somehow that is how this card came together. I have two new stamp sets, two new framelits, new paper and new In-Colors. The only things available now are the Whisper White card stock, buttons and white baker's twine.
This card is based on Unscripted Sketches #158. I cannot link up to much directly right now, but I will in future posts using these products.
I all the mothers out there had a Happy Day. I had quiet stamping time and it was wonderful!
