I have to say that I love the Blushing Bride Smooch Spritz. I sprayed the paper flower and in real life is so sparkly and beautiful.
I was trying to think of what to use as a background image and I love the Bordering On Romance images stamped in Sahara Sand. It has such a lovely soft look to the background.
The sentiment is from the Sweet Cake stamp set and works perfectly with this card.
Well, we are off to enjoy a college hockey game tonight. The kids are so excited and I am too. I think I like hockey more than they do.

I have to remember to make masculine cards and today I have one that I made the other day. I like it because it uses the stamp set Lovely As A tree. This is one of the most popular stamp sets from Stampin' Up!
I used my favorite three products to make this card. Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window Punch and Modern Label Punch. It is like the three were made for each other. The Teeny Tiny Wishes is a great stamp set for so many occasions and the three work for so many cards.
Check out the video below to see how this card is made.

Don't the colors of the card just make you feel happy? While I was shopping over the weekend I saw a shirt that had a heart covered with flowers and I though it would be a great idea for a card.
To get the curled ribbon, I wrapped the ends of the ribbon around a stick and then heated it with my heat tool. Let the ribbon cool before you work with it to get the best curl possible. If you heat it too long the ribbon will start to melt.
Flags are so popular right now and I made this one by using the 1 3/8" square punch to make the notched end. I have a quick video showing how to use a punch to make your notched end. This is the way that I can make sure the ends are cut evenly.

Don't forget about the free product you can earn with Sale-A-Bration right now!

We took a much needed break this past weekend and had a great time. We brought our kids to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the weekend. I know that doesn't sound exotic or anything, but there is a wonderful Air Museum there that my husband and son have been itching to visit. For my daughter and myself, we were able to go shopping. Our community is great, but shopping is not its strength.
I pulled out the Sale-a-Bration sets because I have not really taken the time to stamp with them yet. Doesn't the Blossom Triple Layer punch go with the Sprinkled Expression set so well? Don't forget that you can get the Sprinkled Expression set FREE with a $50 purchase.
Have a Great Day!

I am not sure if you can see in the first picture the piece of vinyl draped over the acrylic block, but it is the neatest thing since sliced bread!! That's the saying right. Anyway, if you want your cling stamps to stick to your acrylic blocks be sure to read on!
My downline Cheryl told me about this about a year ago, but I just never got around to try it out. It is so worth it!
Now that I have raved about this vinyl, I will tell you what I did. I went to a fabric store and purchased a 1/4 yard of the lightest vinyl tablecloth they had and have been cutting them down to fit my acrylic blocks. The vinyl sticks to the block like magic and then the cling stamps stick to the vinyl.
They have not been popping off the blocks even with how dry it is at my house right now. The thin vinyl just stays right on my block ready for the next use.
I would recommend that you clean your block really well before your add the vinyl piece. The stamps even stay "stuck" while you are cleaning them off.
And the best thing! I got a ton of the vinyl for only 24 cents! You can't beat that price. It is only a quarter of a yard, but it is really wide.
Enjoy your Saturday!

Look what came in the mail today! Isn't it beautiful! It's an invitation to breakfast during the upcoming incentive trip to Disney World. It was hand stamped with a new set called Everything Eleanor that will be available in the upcoming new catalog.
It is my first one and I am so excited for the upcoming trip. The entire invitation including the envelope are just beautiful.
Just a quick post today because it is a busy weekend.

So, yesterday I challenged myself to come up with a card using the Heart Framelits that is not a Valentine's Day card. I ended up with two! I came up with a card that I liked so much that I decided to keep it for my Creative and Crafty Die Cutting Newsletter.(click for more information.)
Since my CCDC projects are exclusive to that newsletter, I had to create another card and I decided to make one based heavily on one presented to us on stage at Leadership.
I loved the layout of a card presented by Shelli, the owner of Stampin' Up!, and I knew that I would be recreating it in some way. I decided to use the Nature Walk stamp set since I did not want a Valentine theme.
I loved the way she sewed the graduated hearts to the center of the card I used the largest heart for the Baja Breeze heart and then a dropped a couple of frames to cut the heart from First Edition Designer Series Paper. The smallest heart I used was cut from Crumb Cake card stock. All of the hearts were accented with Soft Suede ink.
The sewing was so easy with the Linen Thread. I just pierced holes on the fold with the paper piercer and mat
pack and then sewed the thread through the holes with a needle (a large one). I did not add many large embellishments to the center of the card because I wanted it to somewhat close. There is a lot of decoration in the center, but there is still plenty of room to write to the recipient.

Happy Valentine's Day! This is the banner we made in my Valentine's Class in January.
I was thinking the other day about the Heart Framelits I love and wondering how much I will use them after Valentine's Day. So, my challenge to myself today is to create a card with the Heart Framelits that is not for Valentine's Day.
I will post tomorrow what I come up with. Have a great day!

This is so cool! You can make your own printables with My Digital Studio. My son Jack needed a couple more Valentine's for his class, so I decided to make a few more with My Digital Studio.
I have to say I love the way these turn out. I will have to make some of these for Cole to give out. I am not sure who he will give them to, but we'll figure out someone that needs a Valentine.
I placed four images to one 8 1/2" X 11" piece of card stock and printed them on my home computer. I placed some candy in small cello bag, folded the card in half and stapled the topper to the bag. Once you have your image set up you could personalize them for anyone or even change them up for a bit for someone else.
If you do not have enough time to make your own printables, not that it takes long, Stampin' Up! has many ready for you to purchase and use. In fact, they just released one for Easter called Everything Easter Ensemble.

You can make your own printable today! You can start with a FREE 30 day trial of My Digital Studio and even instantly download the additional images that I used on my sample. Click on the image to the left or HERE to download your downloads.
It is so awesome to use the Framelits to make an opening anywhere you want on the front of the card. This heart shape is cut through the pink and brown piece of card stock with the punched heart affixed to the inside of the card base.
The embossing is done with the Adorning Accent Embossing Folder. Sizzix has improved the smaller folders so that they do not leave lines anymore. I love this! The curved edge and the scalloped edge folder even have coordinating blades to cut the edges.
Well, it is a quick post today because I am doing the Cabin Fever show at the mall today. If you want to come in out from the cold come by and say hi.

It has been a long time since I have stamped multiple samples with one stamp set. I guess it is because I am so fortunate to have so many stamping supplies. Without my rubber stamping business I would never have such a well supplied stamp room.
The incredible stamp room is only a side benefit of the true value of my stamping business. Just a little bit of my stamping story: I started stamping when I had moved from Minneapolis (big town :)) to the tiny town I live in now (in the U.P. of Michigan). I moved because I had gotten married and that is where my husband lived.
So, I moved to a new town where I did not know many people and I had also quit my position as an elementary teacher. I did teach the first year here, but then our son Ben was born and I decided to be a stay at home mom.
I would never give up the opportunity to be a SAHM, but I wanted a bit more so I started my business when Ben was 6 months old.
So let's fast forward almost 14 years, I now have a wonderful business, made incredible friends that I would have never met without Stampin' Up!, and I have an income from a business I LOVE.
What does this story and these cards have to do with each other? Well, these cards are made with the Easy Events stamp set that is recommended with the stampin' Up! starter kit. And with the Sale-A-Bration Special now may be the time for you to start your own rubber stamping or paper crafting business.
I am often asked where I get all of my ideas, and the secret is that I don't have to think up all of the designs by myself. Bits and parts of these cards where taken from similar cards posted on Stampin' Connection. Stampin' Connection is a place that Stampin' Up! provides for demonstrators to share ideas. I wanted to show you how to make fairly simple cards with the starter kit.
